I'm an English (British) amateur photographer living in Paderborn, Germany.
I love the look and feel of Black and White photography from the dynamic shots of New York in the 1930s and 40s to the more classic French photography of the 1950s and 60s it gives you a feeling of the image without the viewers eye being distracted by colour.
On saying that, I'm also a great admirer of old Kodachrome images from the 1940s, 50s and 60s I think that this film was without doubt the number one choice in colour photography during this period. Sadly I was never able to own or afford a full 35mm SLR camera at this time, and now with the rarity and cost of Kodachrome film, I went with the Digital SLR option of a Canon 450D which I'm more than pleased with. So all I can do now is my best at trying to imitate the colour technique and feel of early photographers who used this King of film.
Thank You for your time, the door is always open and the glass is always half full.
YES, I would also prefer this pink cadillac ... inside is everything made in the finest white leather ... simply fantastic !! By the way, this is the car what Elvis bought for his mother !!!
Thanks for your visit and
best wishes
Dolores
Hi Andy,
Thank you for visiting and your comment on "my" car. Every year we have a Retrofest in my town and all the older beauties are displayed therefore it is a great day to see them and take pictures :)
Yes, I`ve seen it and my first impression: Andy works with a new camera, Congrats ! -:)
A question please to films: Where is Kodachrome and/or Ektachrome highspeed (old 22 DIN) to buy in the moment? Is there a chance ?
