I love taking pictures of nature scenes and wildlife.
I see photography as the art of showing the beauty of life. Most of the scenes I show here are my efforts displaying the beauty of my country and what makes it great. I have concentrated a lot of my efforts on wild life. This is an exciting field in a country where most wild animals live outside Zoo's and can be photographed in their natural habitat. I love the hunt, getting the picture, but that will never be at the cost of the animal. I am always careful not to disturb the scene or upset the animals
After being on FC for a while now, I have learnt a lot from comments and just by looking at the excellent photos on this site.
Please feel free to comment on my pictures. I want to learn from you all.
My camera: Pentax K20D - until 28-10-2010
Lenses: I have a number of lenses, but my favourite lenses are the Pentax DA 50 - 135mm F2.8 and the Pentax DA 300mm F4.0 lenses. I have found their quality surpasses all the other lenses I have tested
I have no since late October 2010 switched to the Nikon D7000 with some nice lenses :-))
Merci mon cher Deryck pour cette visite très amicale qui me fait un grand plaisir et merci pour ette gentillesse et cette marque d'estime à mon égard
amitiés
Michel
Dear Deryck, many thanks, I think the colors were so spectacular because it was overcast and no bright sunlight and also because the dunes were wet and saturated bringing out the color even more. I am going down again next week and looking forward to what surprise may be in store for me, best regards, cathy
Dear Deryck, many thanks, this trip to Sossus was so special and so dramatic because of the rain, I don't think I will ever experience that again but then nature always offers new, other spectacular scenes as I am quite sure you have also experienced. Many regards,
